QA / Automation Engineer

About the Role
We are urgently looking for a skilled QA / Automation Engineer with 2+ years of client project experience and deep expertise in load testing, automation testing, and stress testing to ensure the utmost reliability, performance, and software quality across all client systems.
Key Responsibilities
- •Design, develop, and maintain robust automated end-to-end, integration, and regression test suites for web and mobile applications.
- •Plan and execute comprehensive load testing, stress testing, and performance benchmarking to identify bottlenecks under peak traffic.
- •Perform automated and exploratory API testing, security checks, and data validation.
- •Integrate test automation suites into CI/CD pipelines for automated regression validation on every deployment.
- •Collaborate closely with software engineers, project managers, and clients to document test plans, reproduce defects, and track issues to resolution.
- •Leverage modern AI tools and automated testing frameworks to improve testing coverage, speed, and accuracy.
Requirements & Qualifications
- •2+ years of verified professional experience in software quality assurance and test automation on client projects.
- •Strong hands-on experience in load testing, automation testing, and stress testing.
- •Proficiency with modern test automation tools and frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Postman).
- •Hands-on experience with load and stress testing tools such as k6, Apache JMeter, or Locust.
- •Solid understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, defect tracking, and CI/CD pipeline integration.
- •Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- •Adept with modern development workflows, Git, and AI-assisted testing tools.
- •Ability to work in a hybrid setup with regular collaboration at our Sankhamul, Kathmandu office.
Nice to Have
- •English for Developers certification (e.g. freeCodeCamp B1 or A2 English for Developers).
- •Experience with mobile app testing (Appium or Detox).
- •Familiarity with SQL database verification and backend log analysis (CloudWatch, Datadog).
- •Experience testing distributed systems, microservices, and webhook-driven architectures.
